Job Fair and Food Tasting

Just attended the Job Fair held at the Megatrade Hall last Saturday and Sunday. I was with Iyay, Bebe and Mike. Saturday evening we went to Blissful Occasions 6 - Bridal Fair and Food tasting of Josiah's Catering. The food was okay, however, mejo stiff sila when it comes to changing the menu. All in all, Batis Asul pa din kame ni Manuel!
Yesterday, I received a call from the Office of the Mayor and I got a favorable response from them! Yeheeey!

SMART also called, and they said my cellphone is ready for pick-up na! Seems like my stars are aligned for a good fortune!

December 1, 2005, St. Pancratius Chapel, Paco Park

At last, it's official (with official receipt, hehehe)! We have reserved the chapel and park all to ourselves on the evening of December 1! Kaya lang we haven't told my mom yet...so what could be final now, may not be final after the pamamanhikan!

Anyway... oh happy day!

One At A Time

There was one time my Bebe told me.. I was so APURADA! I often rush things, accomplish tasks immediately or else I'll go bitching. While I was scanning my files, I read of an article about geminis, and confirmed what my Bebe said, to quote "Geminis like to do many things at the same time. Do not hold back a Gemini or you may lose him/her, as they are restless and need change in life constantly."

So that explains why...

I guess being restless has its advantages and disadvantages. An advantage is - through Bebe, we were able to finally reserve the Paco Park for December 1. Tomorrow, we'll have the rescheduling of the wedding at the Parish Office. By the end of the week, all reservations for the wedding are accomplished. This Saturday we'll be attending another food tasting at the Coconut Palace - Josiah's Catering. Busy bee! Lots to do, so little time...

Bebe even had time to go to Binondo to look for potential wedding rings (or bling-bling in his language).

Last night, we were also able to draft our wedding invites, through the help of my very talented brother Jegs! But that would be a surprise!

Paco Park - Isn't glorious?!

4F at the Rizal Stadium, Tour of Manila and Food Tasting!!!

I thought last Friday would be the most tiring day for me last week, seems it was not! Michael, Iyay and myself went to the CSC so they can file an application for the CSC Exams. It took us 6 hours just to file an application which included going to the NBI processing center in Carriedo! Afterwards, we went to SM Manila to have lunch a.k.a dinner and delivered a personal letter to the Office of the Mayor (Manila). I just hope my request gets a favorable action! Then we went to Paco Park, to watch the Concert at the Park (featuring Makiling Talents) also, so we can do some sight-seeing of the chapel and park during the evening. The place really captured my heart.

Yesterday Saturday, me and my office ka-berks attended the Fun and Festivities For Females program at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium. We execised and listened to short talks about the Women’s Month.

Who's the guy in the pic... that's actually Efren Bata Reyes in the flesh!!! Unfortunately.. his assistant failed to capture his face in the photo! Grrr!

After some boring speeches, we went to Intramuros because Glo (my assigned P.A. – hehehe!) wanted to show me Barbara’s restaurant, and a couple of potential venues for a garden wedding reception. Intramuros is my kind of place. History captivates my taste and I fell in love with Casa Manila Patio located at Plaza San Luis Complex. The venue is great for weddings and debuts. For 100 guests and less it is perfect especially if someone is to be wed at the Intramuros area. I have to let go of the Patio because we are expecting 120+ guests on our wedding and besides imagine the trouble of a guest having to travel from Paco Park to Intramuros. Soon-to-wed couples should also check out Barbara’s resto, their function room is so so elegant and classy, serves delicious food (accdg. to Glo) and is not expensive!

Afterwards went to Fort Santiago and had some pictures taken.

Where's Evan???
Fort La Guardia

Had lunch at KFC. After eating two pieces of chicken and rice plus coleslaw, we went to Paco Park (again) part of our Manila Tour. Soon after, we picked up Bebe and they dropped us off at the Legarda Station where my car is parked. Bebe and I were in the process of deciding which caterer to choose, and we have finalized on holding the reception at the Paco Park (finally!)! We even had a glimpse of the Paco Park again (3rd time this week) that evening because one of our prospective caterers will supply a wedding.

By 630 pm, we went to Timog Avenue for a food tasting with another caterer. We found the food to be delicious and the suppliers were really down-to-earth and friendly. Bebe and I found a certain feeling of rapport with the group that eventually made us decide put them in our number 1 spot!

Our discussion put me into thinking… shall I stick to the pink/silver/white color motif or change it to midnight blue/ yellow… Arrrrggghhh!

It's Women's Day.. My Day.. My Tragic Day...

Happy Women's Day to all my girlfriends!!!

This morning went to the Clamshell in Intramuros to attend the Intl. Women's day Celebration together with Malou (officemate) and other delegates from the DOTC. The program was informative (boring part) and entertaining (fun part). What struck me was that when the DJ played Chocolate, everyone really stood up and danced to the music! Even the very old participants didn't mind being "dyahe". Karina David was the invited speaker who gave a nice speech on the different roles women play in society. There was also Chair Yao of the NCRFW who talked about the achievements and goals of the Commission.

We took pictures... picture lang pala, the shots of my camera were already exhausted. Pinasyal ko lang yung camera (tragedy no. 1).

I went to my Bebe's house to finalize the venue of our planned reception for our planned wedding. Turned out that the venue was no longer available, and that we have to consider changing the planned schedule! Huhu! I was so depressed because I really want it to be an evening affair on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception in Paco Park! (tragedy no. 2)

Bebe and I met at Glorietta and talked about the change in plans. Well... here goes panic catching up! We can't scout for other venues/ caterers on Saturday because I have to attend the Women's Month Celebration at the Rizal Stadium together with my other officemates. So, we only have the afternoon of Saturday to do it (tragedy no.3).

I learned something about.. and it was really disappointing (tragedy no. 4).

And to think its MY DAY!!!! Haaay...

Wedding Expo, Pizza, Pasta & Friends

Yesterday was really a fun and interesting day for me. I met with my bestest friend Byron for a bonding session over the Go Nuts Donuts in the Fort, coz later on he'll accompany me in the wedding expo in the NBC Tent. Surprisingly, we saw Dionne and her future hubby Joven! They have with them a paperbagfull of various flyers and brochures from the expo. I was so excited of the finds and it was really a good source of ideas and for planning the budget for a wedding. Byron and I, while waiting for my Bebe, had donuts, fries and coffee. I had to bring my laptop with me because I promised to help By with his application letter for (secret).

Anyway, Teltel finally came and we immediately went to the expo because it was already 6:00pm! Both Byron and I have previous engagements at 7:30pm so we need to hurry! Since Tel and I are a couple we did not have to pay for any registration fee, my friend By had to pay 50 bucks! Hahaha! The Tent was filled with people, couples, booths, brochures! It was HEAVEN! Everything I'll ever need for the wedding was right there, all in one place. Catering, invitations, flowers, souvenirs, wedding coordinators, gowns to chocolate fountains (I probably won't need the last one!)! I also met one of By's friends who beads gowns and offered to do my gown in a discounted rate (wonderful!)

Afterwards, I had to drop Byron off to Galleria, then we proceeded to Napoli's. It was a nice cozy place. There was Dionne, Joven, BJ, Anne and Andrew. We ordered 3 diferent kinds of pasta and 1 humongous pizza! Everyone was asking about how our wedding plan was goin about. Hmmm.... i just said:"Stop worrying about it... I'm not!" Me and Teltel are just taking our time and carefully planning the engagement, pamamanhikan first before anything else. Although we have already set the date and venue of the wedding, we have to stick to family traditions.

We went home at around 1130pm (not sure), after having coffee in Cafea.

Went home tired but happy.

4 years and 11 months

4 years and 11 months na kami ni Teltel! I can't believe that by next April 4, we'll be celebrating our 5th year together. Time really flies.. sometimes I feel I can't catch up..and December 2005 is fast approaching. Hehe... December 2005 will hold a special meaning in my life, I just hope that with the time given me from now until Dec, things wouldn't feel like we're cramming. But no worries, with my family and friends... I'm almost sure everything will be great!

If that would even push through.......

Me and my Teltel will go on a date tonight, probably watch a movie and have dinner (the usual). I think we'll have to watch Hitch!

To totally ruin my mini anniversary day, I had to call an officemate to confront her about how her being tactless led my boss to belive that I'm actually imposing new rules in the office! But before I called her up I knew I had to express my thoughts and feelings straight even if that would mean I had to hurt her with the hard truth! Of all people, I hate those kind that act differently when you're around (tupperware kind!). She should know that she cannot fool me with her sweet smiles. I had to tell her for she was really getting on my nerves! We talked and talked, I asked, she explained.

Know what I found out? Getting angry would not put me in a position where my heart and mind would be open for her explanations. Yes, I was angry, but while talking with her, my anger faded. I am not really the type of person to stay mad for long, but I made sure that I got my message across. She apologized and I had to report to my boss's office on Monday for what she did (Grrrr!)! So did the apology help?

I just consoled myself to the thought that life sometimes isn't fair. Eventhough you're honest and dedicated to your work, some people just don't appreciate it. To hell with them! Least I know, at the end of time, I've lived my life with a purpose.

Sarap ng First Time!

Thanks to my friend Dionne for sharing with me this venue where I can speak (type in wehweh!) my thoughts and feelings out! Friends are great listeners, lovers are even better, but blogs are great for keeping and sharing special memories and moments!
Like my friend Dionne who just got engaged with her soulmate Joven (congrats!) its nice to meet two people who were classmates in elementary and ends up getting engaged (soon to be married!) Wow, love really moves in mysterious ways!

I was really excited about having to start this blog thing, and more excited of the things I'll learn from everyday hereon and write them down to remind me in the future, and those who would like to share my experiences.

Sarap talaga ng first time sa blog!

Heaven - is a song sung by DJ Sammy - i really love the lyrics of this song! Talks about having to meet the person God has intended you to love for you to find heaven here on earth!

Sarap din ng first time ma-inlove!

Adios!
