My B-day Bash

Just turned 27, and everything just gets better!

Had a mini-celebration last May 25 in our house in Project 4! Office kada and office mates came to dine and sing, dance... some kinda got drunk! It was really fun! My cousin Michelle did all the cooking-- seemed like a kid's b-day party bcoz the food served were spaghetti, fried chicken, lumpiang shanghai, cake, leche flan (courtesy of Rochelle's Dad! - thanks!) Harhar! My bro and sis even had greetings plastered on our wall!

Quality Time

After a stressful week, Manuel and I had a pretty good time bonding on our 61st month celebration and Subic trip.

Last Wednesday, May 4, had an interview with .. bleeeep.... turned out it was okay, and had my exam after at the Ortigas Center. However, if they are to consider me for the position, higher compensation is my priority! Hmm...hhmmm...

So Bebe and I had dinner at Glorietta, and talked about the funny things we had to say to each other two days ago.. breaking up and returning of gifts.. hehehe. At least we can laugh about it huh?

Thursday, He had to work at the Office eventhough he's on rest day, while I went to a friend's house in Angono, Rizal to have dinner and have a booze. Well, I just had dinner and my friends forced me to eat siniguelas! (Eeeewww) Thanks to Shella for the invitation - although your grandma's house is really freaky, perfect setting for horror movies... There was also this unfinished painting by Bo Francisco a renowned painter, a huge bedroom with a jacuzzi with brass bath fixtures...lots of other spooky paintings that looked as if the portraits were looking back at me...Thank God I didn't have nightmares!

Saturday, we woke up early for our Subic trip. It was a Fun Familia Affair of SMART, where the brother of Bebe works, and he asked us to come along, so off we go for Ocean Adventure and Camaya Beach! Yahoo!!! It was first time to go to Subic, so I was really excited! We (Manuel, Me, Ferdi and Jen)left Makati at 5:30am and arrived at Ocean Adventure at around 9:00am. First stop, Dolphin and Whale Show! Fantastic!

Then, we had to wait for the sea lion show at 12nn, so we visited the awesome aquarium, where I met Nemo in person (or in fish?)! There was also a mini zoo for rescued animals. Afterwards, went to see the Sea Lion Show starring Simba! Oh she was so adorable! She can do so many tricks and she was really funny!

Had lunch courtesy of SMART again.

After a sumptuous lunch - the caterer was Queensland ( I think we are also going to check them out for our wedding caterer!) we went to change for our swimming attire! We went swimming at 2:00pm.. hahaha, submerging ourselves under water is better than having to stay under the scorching sun beside the beach huts!

I think I missed Manuel that much, I clung to him almost every moment we were together at Subic. Haaayyy.. love talaga.. weird.

Yesterday, Mother's Day, the whole family again was in our house to celebrate! My Bebe was also there to join us, plus there are lots of food to consume!

Another Chance

Breaking up sucks, but the journey towards an ending brings important lessons.

After a lot of pre-pre-wedding jitter issues last Thursday, I met with my bestest friend Byron. We talked over dinner and coffee at the Metro Walk in Ortigas.. ok din pala dun. He's one of the friends I have who can really be straight-forward with me, so he's the best person to talk with.

Talk... rant.. complain...relax...breathe...

So it boils down to improving our communication, honesty and understanding. As if, I didn't know.

Sometimes, even if the answers are right there in front of us, we deny ourselves seeing them. And wait until an angel comes flying down from the heavens and spank us with the hard but hopeful truth, that there's still a reason to love and believe in it.

At first, I was ready to let go, and thought it was easy. I offered friendship, but turned out, we deserved another chance.

Commitments made:

1. Don't be pressured by the Dec. 1 wedding date. If we are really meant for each other, we will get wed. Besides we can still adjust the wedding date if we are not really ready for it this year.

2. Focus on our individual careers. Before we settle down, this should be our primary concern, especially in very hard times. Dedication to work alongside dedication to our relationship - nothing's impossible.

3. Openness. Communication. Honesty (though the truth hurts most of the time).

4. Start anew.

There are so many things I can deny, but I can't deny that I do love him.

Thanks to Dionne and Aggie - for your sweet thoughts! mWAh!
